Why Support Century Club

Please Support Century Club

Camp Norge logoHave you ever felt that your contribution to a charitable cause would not make a difference, so you dropped the request in the waste basket? By joining the Century Club, you can be part of a group which makes a difference to many children and adults alike by furnishing funds for the maintenance and funding of special projects of a wonderful campground nestled in a beautiful wooded area near Alta, California.

Your membership in the Century Club will ensure that the Camp will have funds to provide maintenance to keep this valuable property a first-class recreational facility. Your friends will know that you are a Century Club member by the pin you will be wearing.

Each summer, children enjoy the annual Language & Heritage Camp as shown in several of the pictures in this brochure. Camp Norge has many regular activities such as the Northern Kretsstevne, rosemaling classes, “Norwegian only” language weekends and holiday activities held on Memorial Day and Labor Day. If you have never been to Camp Norge, we encourage your lodge to plan a week or weekend and enjoy this beautiful setting. See the Camp Norge website (campnorge.org) or call the Camp Manager at (530) 389-2508 for additional information on rental rates & overnight fees.

You will feel good when your friends ask you about the beautiful Century Club pin you will be wearing, and you can tell them that you are helping with the maintenance of our beautiful Camp Norge. The By-Laws of this organization provide for releasing one-half of the funds collected each year from present and new members. The other half is deposited in an interest-bearing account. In the past, we have helped make possible new laundry facilities, swimming pool repairs, auxiliary equipment for the camp’s all-purpose tractor, the renovation of the manager’s apartment, a new deck overlooking the meadow, a new stairway and the rebuild of restroom facilities.
